For many of us, a date night for Valentine’s Day may look like a dinner at a fancy restaurant, with candles and music playing in the background. But it can be a little bit different, cozier, at home, but special too.
Valentine’s Day it’s not really about the gifts or how much you spend on them. Is all about showing how much you love someone and there are so many ways to do that. So today I’m sharing with you some special date night ideas for valentines day or another day. We can celebrate love whenever we want, am I right?
💕 If you decide to stay at home, create an ambiance. Turn on some soft music and light some candles. Get cozy.
💕 Food is so important on a date night. You can cook a delicious homemade dinner or order out their favorite meal. Or, even better, you can cook dinner together. Put some music on and have fun!
💕 Have a picnic. You can do it in a near park, by the river or even in your backyard. Put together a charcuterie of fruits, cheeses, nuts, and special drinks and it’s done! So simple yet so special.
💕 Make a fort in your house and hang out inside their together. Bring some snacks and watch your favorite show or a romantic movie.
💕 Have a nice, romantic, and relaxing bubble bath together.
💕 Do a couple’s yoga session. It’s so fun!
💕 Go stargazing. You don’t need a telescope to set up a stargazing date. Just head to your backyard with a blanket and use a stargazing app to help identify constellations in the night sky.
💕 Take a “staycation” at your favorite local hotel. Order room service, watch a movie and have a nice bath together.
💕 Recreate your first date. If you’ve been together for a long time, you’ll undoubtedly have fun laughing about those early days.
💕 Binge-watch your favorite show.
💕 Trivia night. You can ask each other questions in many different categories. It is a great way to learn about each other’s interests.
💕 Have a board game date. Play a game you both would like and enjoy your time together while playing it.
💕 Sing Karaoke. It doesn’t matter if you think you do not have a good voice, you can still have a great time singing your beloved songs with your partner.
As you can see from this post, you can still have a unique and romantic Valentine’s date without spending lots of money or thinking about luxurious ideas or activities. It doesn’t matter which activities you will choose, the most important you will have is valuable time with your second half.
And if you’re not in a romantic relationship, celebrate Valentine’s day too! Show love for yourself and for the others around you. Make plans with your friends, treat yourself to a meal from your favorite restaurant, do something you love. Having plans to do something concrete will help to take your mind off the fact that you are single. This will give you time to shift your attention to yourself and relish your alone time.
Happy Valentine’s Day! 🥰
It is nice of you to remind us of the real sentiment behind this holiday. Personally, I loathe grand gestures in public. Especially expensive ones. It creates in me a huge obligation to be enjoying myself enough to justify the expense… Deer in the headlights with a huge rictus of a smile…
Yet—I know other folks who really love being taken out on the town, in a crowd, dressed to the nines…so, if it’s their birthday—I can and will make it happen.
Valentines Day should be about love and unselfish generosity. Mitzahs are fun! Surprise someone. If in a relationship, you probably know their temperment. If not, whatever you do guys, no half dead tawdry flowers from the local Stop and Rob because you forgot until you were driving home…nothing says care less than a vain conciliatory gesture! I like these great at home ideas and really am impressed by this post/blog/app.
Thank you!
