How can you actually be happy with what you have?
Being happy with what we have is about feeling contentment and gratitude for all the good that we do have and appreciating the bad that we don’t have.
But being content with what you already have sometimes can be hard because there are so many things that can interfere with our inner peace. For example, unexpected obstacles, depending on the day, our mood, and how we’ve been taking care of ourselves. Remember that feeling happy is a journey and not a destination, so we all have those days.

Remind yourself what matters most
Focus on your values and priorities, on your big dreams, on the people you love, and the things that bring you the most joy and make you feel alive. Next time you’re struggling with the urge for “more”, focus on those things and see how it changes your perspective.
Live with less
We are consumed by “stuff” every day of our lives. If you don’t know how to be happy with what you have, then it’s unlikely that anything you can buy will make you any happier. Buying a new thing isn’t going to bring you much long-term joy. Spending time wishing for things you don’t have yet is a waste of time. They will come when the time is right for you.
And if you gradually start buying fewer and fewer new things, this will eventually become your new normal.
Appreciate the little things
Take time out in your day to appreciate the little things in your life. Your surroundings, people’s smiles, the sky, the noises, your house, the fresh air, and the food you ate. This is a small but powerful thing.
Appreciate others and express gratitude
Expressing gratitude whenever you can is the key to feel happy and content with what you already have.
And practicing gratitude is not just about you being grateful for stuff in your life, it is also about you expressing your gratitude to others. Do this often enough and it will be life-changing.
Once you accept who you are you can start to feel content with your life.
Trying to be someone else is a waste of time. You are not the same as someone else and never can be, you were made to be unique. Self-acceptance it’s one of the most valuable things.
Accept that you can’t change some things
Focus on the things that you can control. There are some things in life you simply have no control over and there is nothing that you can do to change it. And worrying about that is a waste of time. Once you realize this and choose to move on, you’ll become more content and less stressed.
Whatever your current situation is choose to stay positive. There are much worse positions that you could be in right now, I know this is hard but you need to be grateful for what you already have.
Contentment is something from within that you choose. Make the choice to find things in your life that you are grateful for and being happy and contented will change your life for sure 😊
