Reframing negative thoughts patterns

We’ve been practicing negative thoughts for so long that we don’t even recognize that they’re running through our brain on autopilot.

And they make you feel miserable and hold you back from pursuing your dreams. You need to shift that thinking in order to feel better. The key is to replace these negative thoughts with positive ones. This is called reframing. It can be difficult and it takes practice and daily commitment.

So today I want to share with you some of the negative thoughts that many of us struggle with and replacing them using words with a more positive focus.


Instead of saying/thinking this, try this:

 “I am a failure” ⇒ “I’ve learned so much from things that haven’t worked in the past

My life is horrible” ⇒ “Things aren’t great at the moment, but this will pass

I’m a mess” ⇒ “I’m a human, I don’t have to figure that all out right now

Why this is happening?” ⇒ “What is this teaching me?

I’m keeping my fears to myself” ⇒ “I need to ask for help and talk with someone

I’m not good at this” ⇒ “I need to keep practicing so I can get better!

This is too hard” ⇒ “I can handle what comes my way

I’m feeling so anxious” ⇒ “This feeling won’t last forever

Shifting your negative thoughts to more positive ones is sooo important for your mental health! Try out the above strategies and see how they work and the amazing changes you will experience.

I just like that you’re mentioning this because having all these negative thoughts on your mind is horrible you need to just let it go and it feels so good to do that and having all these negative thoughts in your mind is not very good for your mental health and is not good period so I think this is very inspiring and trust me I know it’s a very big burden on your back and it’s very hard to get it lifted unless you talk to someone one-on-one about the problem that you’re having or just speaking to someone that you trust

    I dont see a future for myself where things will get better. I have been stuck in the same spot for decades. I have changed myself so many times that I don’t even know what I really like or enjoy anymore. I have been feeling completely exhausted and with out hope.
    Recently I have found a spark of hope. I found a good trainer for my dog. She and I are learning a lot and she is doing very good on her walks. I can see a future where we can start going out for walks more. As a single person, this means a lot, because there are many time when the thought of have to do another activity alone is just unbearable and I do not have the strength to do it. Now I can take my dog so I won’t have to be alone.

  22. I’ve noticed the negative thoughts have been a part of my life for so long. I didn’t realize how much. I’m a work in progress. Everyday in every way I’m getting better and better.
