How To Date Yourself and Practice Self Love

Dating yourself means finding dedicated alone time to do something you love.

You can be single or in a romantic relationship and still have little dates with yourself because it is essential to cultivate a sense of independence, confidence, and self-worth. Dating yourself can greatly help you develop self-love. And to have a healthy and happy relationship with people in your circle you must first love yourself. Your alone time is precious.

When you spend time on your own, you have the opportunity to reflect on your growth, on your dreams. It can also help you become more in tune with your feelings. You start getting to know yourself on a deeper level.

And it can be fun too! You decide what to do, where, when…Sounds great to me!

Start small but start today. Even if it takes only 15 minutes of your day, it’s already great!

      1. Maravilhoso…;)

    2. I loved the way you have put it. Loving ourselves before others is very important as we have to put oxygen mask before putting it to others. Great ideas. Thanks for putting it all together.

    3. Thanks for your advice this will really help me for some time I do feel lonely and not getting attention from people

  2. I’m glad to know I already practice numerous activities that are mentioned on the list! I use to take long walks around my neighborhood (which is pretty close of a mountain so I’m able to breathe fresh air), I write poetry (without intending it to be poetry, and I also write other genres as I wish to become a professional writer), and many other things! I’m just so glad to know I’m loving myself better in this moment of my life

  3. Does this count as my self date? Because it sure made me smile and feel more positive about myself during this stressful time for me. Thank you.

  4. Thank you

  5. Inspirador!!!

  6. I love this, I love receiving the inspirational and encouraging reminders in my notifications everyday; they help me to be kind to myself, and to show the same love and compassion to myself that I show others.
I am trying to journal more, to remember my days, weeks, months, and years; thereby seeing my growth and knowing where and who I was and am in periods of time. Time flies and I can’t seem to remember 32, 35, 38, now I’m 44 and I wish I’d been writing it down. I’m trying to take life in bite-sized, loving, pieces; and to chew slowly – enjoying every flavor, smell, and feeling in the moment before it passes by. Thank you for your writing, you inspire me to love myself more proactively. God bless you ❀️ ky

  7. I’m a long way away from being able to do this πŸ™
