Things you will regret not doing

“Time waits for no one”.

Every day we get a new opportunity to live our best life, and we should make every day count. One moment you’re celebrating your 25th birthday and the next minute you’re almost 50 and you don’t want to look back and feel regret about the things you did not do.

But trust me, most people have something they regret not doing. That’s why it’s really important to take action now, right at this moment. So, I decided to do a small list of things you maybe will regret not doing in life:

Not taking care of your physical and mental health

Make sure to drink enough water, eat a healthy balanced diet and get enough sleep. Invest in your mental health too by practicing gratitude, positive affirmations, and journaling or talking about your feelings with someone you trust or a therapist. You’ll regret not taking care of yourself when you’re older.

Not making changes or taking risks

If you want to change something you have to take action. Get up off the couch, and start fighting for your dreams, step out of your comfort zone. And don’t be scared of failure or rejection. We spend so much time worrying about consequences and all the “what if’s?”. It’s a waste of time. Yes, it may not end up the way you desire, but you learn through the process.

Not spending time with the people you love

Life is short to not spend time with the people you love. Reply to that message, answer that call. Show how much they mean to you.

Do not take for granted the people who always show up for you. One day, you may realize that it is just too late and that they do not have the time.

Comparing yourself to other people

Instead of comparing yourself to other people, compare yourself to the person you were five or ten years ago. See how far you’ve already come and be proud of yourself.

Not putting yourself first

Love yourself before loving someone yourself. Be kind and respectful towards yourself. You can’t give what you don’t have which is why you need to put yourself first in whatever you want to do.

Not taking your financial life more seriously

Money is an important aspect of your life so the earlier you start saving and learning income skills, investments, and getting insurance, the better it will be for you. It sounds boring but it’s so essential for your future!

Not learning new things

I truly believe that investing in learning is investing in yourself. It can be online courses, adult education courses, books, traveling, conferences, new experiences, everything that helps you expand your mind. Learning makes you feel confident and proud of yourself.

Traveling

Traveling is so important! You get so much experience from seeing new cultures and interacting with different people around the world. You create memories for life and also your self-esteem will increase! And how much fun it would be in the future reminiscing about the good old days? And maybe show all the pictures to your kids? So fun!

Always remember that the time is now. Do everything you want before it gets too late, don’t wait for tomorrow. See you in the next week 😊

I will testify to the one about not waiting till it’s too late. And regret is a horrible downer in life.
I myself will use the one about not comparing myself to others. I like your way instead. I wonder where the old me went? I hope she well.
