Simple ways do simplify your life

I’ve found that the best way to live a peaceful life is to simplify everything! Being overwhelmed makes you stuck and unable to take steps towards your dreams. By living a more simplified life, you’re getting rid of any mental and physical clutter so you can focus on the things that truly matter in life.

So, without further ado, here are some tips that’ll allow you to save time, money and live a more fulfilled life!


📵 Spend less time on social media:

Social media can be a productivity killer. Put a rule in your life where you don’t check social media until a certain time of day. Try to avoid your phone in the morning especially, since your morning hours are when you’re most productive.


🧹 Declutter your home and life: 

Get rid of the unnecessary stuff in your home, items that no longer serve a purpose or spark joy in your heart. Stop buying things on impulse and get only the things that you actually need. I really recommend you the book “The Life-Changing Magic Of Tidying Up” by Marie Kondo. If you want your life organized this book is a must-read!


👚 Capsule wardrobe:

This will save you so much time, energy, and money. When you have a capsule wardrobe, your clothes always match and it’s super easy to get dressed every day, you always have something to wear.


❤️ Self-confidence: 

Self-confidence is accepting who you are, learning to respect the fact that you’re unique. Make peace with yourself and don’t waste your time thinking what if you’d have done this or done that. A lot of complications will vanish once you start loving yourself.


🙅‍♂️ Practice saying ‘no’: 

Saying no is one of the best ways to cut things from your life. Sometimes you can get rid of complications or the extra workload. Try not to commit yourself to everything that is asked of you and learn to say ‘no’.


🎯 Prioritize things:

Prioritizing things will make your life more organized and less overwhelmed. Think of what you want to achieve that day and select the top three tasks that will help you achieve that goal. Once they’re completed, you know that your day has been a success!


✔️ Plan:

Planning gives you a chance to focus on what needs to get done. Makes you feel far less overwhelming and sets you up for success through the week. Also, seeing your plans on paper gives you the assurance that it’s possible.


🍲 Meal-prepping:

This saves you so much time, money, and energy so you can focus on more important things throughout the day! It also holds you accountable to eat healthily. It’s just so convenient to grab your prepared lunch instead of worrying about making it every single day.


🧘🏽 Slow down:

Slowing down means taking time to enjoy yourself instead of thinking about work or scrolling through social media. We’re always in a rush, it seems that we find more ways to do more and more. Life seems to be moving at such a fast pace that we can’t even enjoy it. Try to slow down every day, even for a few minutes.  Not only will it improve your mental health, but you’ll have better results too.

    Now I have a question, what does Capsule wardrobe means?
    All clothes hanging together in sets? Or in color?

    1. Hello! A capsule wardrobe is when you decide to own for example only 40 pieces of clothes in total. Therefore it is smart to choose clothes that match together e.x. have a shirt that matches with many pants or skirts not just one. This doesn’t neccesarily mean to limit the colors you wear but rather choosing ones that compliment each other. A way to test if a capsule wardrobe suits you is project 333 where you try to only wear 33 pieces of clothes or less for 3 months.
