Sunday is a great day for planning and has a major influence on how the entire week will go. If you can spend a part of your Sunday planning for the week ahead, and implementing some productive habits, you’d be surprised at how much of a difference it would make. It’s like a preparation for the week ahead.
So here are some of the things you can do every Sunday to avoid the Monday blues, feeling overwhelmed or anxious about the week ahead:
✨Set goals
Stop for a moment and reflect on your life, goals, and dreams every Sunday. Always have 2 or 3 weekly goals to keep you really focused and set your priorities right. This is crucial if you want to get things done and get ahead.
✨Plan your week
Sundays are great for planning. Sit down and write out everything you have to do for the upcoming week. This will improve your productivity and make you feel more organized and structured. Also, it will help eliminate the well-known feeling of there not being enough time in the day to get everything done.
✨Quality time with your loved ones
Normally, Sunday is the day when everybody’s home (in most cases). Have breakfast with your family, spend quality time, and set aside your phone. Tell your loved ones you love them. Call your parents and schedule a visit if you can. Make time for them.
✨Do something you love
Do things that bring you joy and that you normally don’t have much time to do during the week. Learn something that you find interesting and start practicing it every Sunday. This could be playing an instrument, a sport, dancing, or even spending more time with someone special.
✨Clean and organize
Starting the week with a messy home is the worst. Spend a few minutes every Sunday decluttering, vacuuming, and organizing everything. You’ll feel more productive if your environment and space is clutter-free.
✨Meal prep
It’s basically preparing meals ahead for the next 3-4 days and keeping them in the fridge. So, you don’t have to cook during the week. This will save you so much time. It is truly a lifesaver when getting ready for the week. It can also save you so much money!
✨Practice self-care
It’s so important to set aside time for yourself. Take a bath, meditate, read, call a friend, go for a walk, go out for dinner, cook your favorite meal, anything that brings you peace. Whatever self-care is for you, do it every Sunday. Little things like that could set your mood for the next week.
✨Relax
After planning out your week and putting everything in order, you deserve to relax. Sundays are great for prepping but it’s still a day of rest so make sure to schedule your downtime. Treat yourself. You need to go into the week refreshed and ready to take on the world.
Do you have any Sunday habits that you have added to your routine? I would love to read them! See you in the next post 😊
I have recently started meditating and praying for twenty minutes every morning and on Sundays I like to listen to worship music and write scriptures. I find all of this very refreshing and it centers me.
That sounds awesome. I will try it this weekend. Thanks and God Bless.
Thank you , this is going to help alot.
Part of the prepping routine is ironing. It’s not good when one pulls out a shirt to wear and it has to be ironed.
Deciding what to wear to work is one of the most challenging thing i face everyday so on Sundays, i pick out the clothes i’ll be wearing all through the week. I sometimes change my mind when its time to wear them tho but at least it saves my time a lot
I work every day for 10 hour. And I have two children. At Sunday i try to clean and cook something different meals. If I can finish all things what I plan I feel me so good. Sunday is my house working day for me
That is an idea that will help my mornings be 99% more stressful and go a long way towards my time management goals 🤗
Thankyou… Such a simple idea, I just hadn’t thought of doing that along with my meal planning (which is much simpler for me anyway)👍👍👍
Pretty! This has been an extremely wonderful post. Thanks for providing this info.
Thank you so much for this post. I will definitely make the best use of this knowledge.
I’m a Christian, so I attend church service where I coordinate little children and teach them about the bible on Sundays.
Thank you for this blog. These things which you wrote are the things that I have found recently.
Thanks for writing the blog on this topic. The last point was most motivating for me. I will definitely start utilizing these knowledge from today (though it is not sunday). And I sincerely complete the challenges in the app. Thanks ..
This sounds great 👍
I will definitely give it a try.
Thank you
Thanks this was very helpful to me 🙂💞
I listen to loud music on speaker(not so loud that would cause disturbance) while doing house chores. This helps me relax and good music lifts my mood!
